8/16/97 - Exordium.

     Does anyone still use finger?  I mean, besides
     the folks at Id Software who are too "busy" to
     use the Web or something?

     I think finger will suit my purposes just fine
     then.  An archaic system which is overlooked,
     uses only text, and gives me ultimate control
     with a limited audience appeals to me.

     Occasionally I feel like thinking about shit
     that I don't want to put on my site.  I
     want to let some close friends and my lover,
     Anna, read it, not let it hide away in a
     notebook for awhile.  So I'm going to write
     here.  Maybe not daily.

     It might not work out.  But at least few
     people will know, right?  Don't let anyone
     know -- it's my job to do that.  I'm not
     fucking around here -- just using the 'Net
     to its full extent, for its proper uses.

     If you want info on me, you'll be better off
     looking at http://www.benturner.com/ instead
     of here.  Better bandwidth, more flexibility,
     better URL.  But you should know already.
